New Shelf Goodies & The Weekly Nutshell {137}

For New Shelf Goodies, I'll be showing you what lovely books I acquired this week, whether from publishers, or the library, or from whatever half-crazed book-buying binge I happened to go on. :D (Inspired by Tynga's Stacking the Shelves) The Weekly Nutshell will be just that...my week here at Stories & Sweeties, in a nutshell. (inspired by Ginger @ GReads and her recaps at the end of the TGIF posts)

Basically, I died and went to book heaven this week.
For review:
Eeee! Such an Alice fan and a Wicked fan---so excited to see Maguire's twist on my favorite classic story.
I'm a bit more than halfway through the first book and it's such a fun story, especially on audiobook with Jason Segel himself reading it! And, guys, have I told you how much I love bound manuscripts? I love them. So getting the second book in that format was a pretty awesome surprise.

From Trades:
Excited to read this, I've only read Ruined by this author WAY back when but I remember really liking it!
A certain book twin of mine is loving this series, so I need to give it a go, naturally.
Aaaa, hubs and I are both so excited for this one.  And this replaces the one that got stolen at ALA *sigh*
Miss Durst--she never lets me down.  I haven't read her MG work before, but I love all her YA stuff.
Yay for finally aquiring a finished copy of this! So gorgeous. One of my favorite series every, and I am SO ready for book three!
O.O This beauty is in my possession. I can barely breathe.  Because I can't stop happy dancing long enough to catch my breath.

Gigantic thanks to Harper Collins and Random House. And especially GINORMOUS thanks to Aila, Nichol, and Kelly who traded books with me!

The Weekly Nutshell
{Monday} Blog Tour Giveaway: Damage Done by Amanda Panitch
{Tuesday} Waiting on..The Thief of Lies by Brenda Drake
{Thursday} Review: This Monstrous Thing by Mackenzi Lee

What is everyone reading this week?  I am reading two that I am really loving (one at work and one at home lol). Accident Season and Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall. Both really good so far. I think next up will likely be Truthwitch, because I don't think I can resist.  LOL
Nothing much else going on this past week! Just school for kiddo, and work for me. Back to that daily grind. ;) OH and making ice cream with my new ice cream maker. Been doing lots of that.  Shall I share some ice cream recipes? Hm...

Have a lovely week, everyone! :D
