New Shelf Goodies & The Weekly Nutshell {136}

For New Shelf Goodies, I'll be showing you what lovely books I acquired this week, whether from publishers, or the library, or from whatever half-crazed book-buying binge I happened to go on. :D (Inspired by Tynga's Stacking the Shelves) The Weekly Nutshell will be just that...my week here at Stories & Sweeties, in a nutshell. (inspired by Ginger @ GReads and her recaps at the end of the TGIF posts)

New goodies:
For review:
A Curious Tale of the In-Between by Lauren DeStefano
Love this author. Even the ARC is gorgeous LOL
The Appearance of Annie Van Sinderen by Katherine Howe
Old Hollywood, seances, and a girl that seems out of a different time. Yup, excited.
The Love That Split the World by Emily Henry
Squeeeee--this looks amazing!!
Reawakened by Colleen Houck
Gorgeous finished copy. Hearing this one is fantastic.
Bounce by Noelle August
You know, I haven't had much interest in NA books, but this one actually looks pretty cute. Might give it a go ;)

Thanks to Bloomsbury, Penguin, Random House, & William Morrow for these!

 From trades/giveaways/purchase
I'm not gonna link all these up lol, too lazy.  I was super excited for find School for Good & Evil book 3 for $10 bucks at Costco! :D Score!  The rest of these are from trades and giveaway. I've been on a bit of a #booksfortrade binge lately, and I've been getting some super incredible books out of it! :D Excited for all of these, but my dream-trade this week was The Next Together (with signed bookmarks!). I've been dying to read that one! :D

Huge lovely thanks to all the people who've traded with me! :D

The Weekly Nutshell
{Wednesday} Waiting on Wednesday: The Stars Turned Away
{Thursday} Blog Tour: Stone Rider Giveaway

So, there went summer! My little guy is back to school this week! Already!! I swear it seems like summer vacation just started. Will that mean I have more time to read and blog? LOL, who knows.  Hope so though.

This week I read This Monstrous Thing. Very dark, very gothic--exactly what I'd expect of a Frankenstein-inspired story. But much more steampunk than I expected, which I loved! Full review to come this week! I'm diving into Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall and then probably Trouble is a Friend of Mine. I've decided I need a dose of modern stories; I've been reading time-period stories one after the other and I need a break!  Oh, I'm also listening to Nightmares! on audiobook...my new car has bluetooth so I decided it might be time to try audiobooks again!  Enjoying it so far, and so far my mind is not wandering too badly lol (this is my biggest problem with audio).

Hope everyone has a fantastic week ahead of them!
