Book Trailers: The Iron Knight

It's likely that this one is old news by now, but I just had to post it here because its such a cool trailer. I was just checking the in-stock status for my local Barnes, when I noticed the trailer there! So, if you, like me, have had this one elude you until now---Enjoy!

I am running out to buy this tomorrow---and I haven't read any of the books. I've been waiting for this last one to come out so I can read the whole series all the way through :D It's the first time I've done this with a series. What are your thoughts? Good idea, bad idea?

  2. I've read series straight through. It can be fun. You get instant gratification. But there is something to be said about having to wait one year in between books. The anticipation.

  3. Well, okay, usually I can't wait to read full series because by the time I realize it'd be worth it, I'm already midway through. Also, I risk dying of old age before some series are over (yes, I'm looking at you, Song of Ice and Fire...) BUT!

With Iron Fey, I stumbled upon book one when the three first were already out, so I read through them in a row. Could not put them down. And now, in hindsight, I appreciate I did - one of the greatest things about Julie Kagawa is the consistency of her world and her characters, and that shines through specially strong if you've all those details recent in your head! So, I think you did well, and I hope you'll love this series as much as I do!

Oh! Don't forget to read the two short novellas that got between King and Daughter and Queen and Knight. Since we're talking about details, and characterization, they're cool to take into account - even if you'll still understand everything if you choose to skip.

    Enjoy the reading!
