New Shelf Goodies & The Weekly Nutshell {65}

For New Shelf Goodies, I'll be showing you what lovely books I acquired this week, whether from publishers, or the library, or from whatever half-crazed book-buying binge I happened to go on. :D (Inspired by Tynga's Stacking the Shelves) The Weekly Nutshell will be just that...my week here at Stories & Sweeties, in a nutshell. (inspired by Ginger @ GReads and her recaps at the end of the TGIF posts)

Got a few lovely surprises in my mailbox this week!
 For Review:
This looks really good! I'd never heard of it before it showed up in my mail, but it's described as Wizard of Oz with dead people instead of munchkins! :)
OH so excited to step back into Howard's twisted Wonderland!
This looks so amazing---one of my most anticipated reads of 2014
If you haven't read the synopsis of this, click over and check it out! Sounds incredible!
 For a middle grade, this has the potential to be very creepy!

Many thanks to Harper Collins, Abrams, and Macmillan for these!

The Weekly Nutshell:
{Monday} Spooktacular Giveaway Hop: Win 4 ARCs!

Back from my Disney/Monterey vacation! We had a blast this week and it was so cool to finally see Disney all decked out for Halloween! We got to see the new Cars land and the new racer ride is so, so fun!! My whole family dressed up, even my older kids: my daughter The Mad Hatter, my older son as Finn from Adventure Time, my little guy as a ninja and me...well, I won't tell until the end of the month! If you stop by my Spooktakular Giveaway, you get 3 extra points for guessing my costume correctly! :D  Also I'm still trying to catch up on commenting back for the week, thanks to everyone who stopped by while I was gone! :D

Hope everyone had a great week!

  8. Oooh. Love Letters to the Dead! That cover is so amazing. I'm excited for Unhinged, too, but I have to admit that that isn't how I picture Morpheus at all. Do you imagine him as being so emo? Great haul and happy reading!
