New Shelf Goodies & The Weekly Nutshell {32}

For New Shelf Goodies, I'll be showing you what lovely books I acquired this week, whether from publishers, or the library, or from whatever half-crazed book-buying binge I happened to go on. :D (Inspired by Alea @ Pop Culture Junkie's This Week in Books & Tynga's Stacking the Shelves) The Weekly Nutshell will be just week here at Stories & Sweeties, in a nutshell. (inspired by Ginger @ GReads and her recaps at the end of the TGIF posts) Note: This is not a meme, but I'll be hopping around to any other book haul-sharing posts I come across!

Here's what I got this week:
Elixir & Apollyon by Jennifer L. Armentrout
So...if you've been with me for a while, you know...I love this series!  There was much happy dancing when Apollyon arrived in the mail!  I read a few pages before realizing I had to have Elixir (the novella that comes just before Apollyon in the series), and more happy dancing happened when I discovered my local Barnes had print copies in the store..

Thanks so much to Spencer Hill Press for this one! :)

The Weekly Nutshell:

Hope everyone's year is off to a great start! :D

  1. I've seen Apollyon around a lot this week. I have Half Blood on my TBR but have had for ages, I'll force myself to get round to it sometime soon!

    My Haul

  2. Apollyon is everywhere! I'm so jelly. Happy reading :D

  3. I really do need to read some Armentrout. I am seeing her everywhere these days but my TBR mountain is so tall that I hesitate to add anything more to it. My new books posts are at Ms. Martin Teaches Media (YA) and Inside of a Dog (Adult). Please stop by if you get a chance. Happy reading!

  4. Everyone seems to love Elixir and Apollyon. Enjoy !

  5. Oh my goodness, there are print copies of Elixir?! HOW DID I NOT KNOW. I must get one. It looks so gorgeous. And I'm in love with the vibrant colors of Apollyon. AH. I am so excited for Apollyon after the ending of Deity. I hope you love your books, Becky! Happy reading! :)

  6. Everyone has been pining for a copy of Apollyon, which I think means that I seriously need to pick up this series, and anything about JLA in general. There are far too many fangirls about this series to miss out on this! Also, the cover for Apollyon really is gorgeous. I love the colors in it. =)

    Anyways, I hope you enjoy your lovelies Becky! <3

  7. With all this booty shaking and head-bopping going around for Apollyon, I'm starting to feel a little regret for leaving the series behind...
