In My Mailbox {83}

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren, where we all share what we got during the week!

My goodies for the week: Loved Halo, so I'm really looking forward to delving into that world again. I still need to read Dark Heart Forever, but my daughter really liked it, so it's great to have the second---now I can read the two consecutively. The last three here, I bought at my final sad trip to Borders. When I went it was packed and I kept thinking it's so sad they couldn't get that kind of steady business when the company was still alive and kicking (but also squealing a bit inside at the great deals I was nabbing---so bad, I know.)

For review:
Hades by Alexandra Adornetto

Won:
Dark Heart Rising by Lee Monroe

Bought:
Angel Burn by L.A. Weatherly
Chime by Franny Billingsley
The Poison Diaries by Maryrose Wood

New On My Nook:

Dark Companion by Maria Acosta (review)
Slumber by Samantha Young (bought)

Thanks to Macmillan, Marta Acosta, and a fond farewell to Borders Books.

What's in your mailbox this week?? :)

  4. I didn't get to go to Borders before they closed. It is sad. Now I don't have any good sized bookstores near me. They were all Borders :(

I want to read The Poison Diaries. I read an excerpt of it last year and thought it was good. I hope you enjoy it!

  5. Wow, you got a lot of books this week with haunting covers, lol. I think I'm the only one in the world who liked Halo, so I'm really curious to see what you think of Hades. Can't wait to read your reviews! :D

  9. Awww... no matter how many books I get, I always decide I want even more after reading through some IMM! This is one of those: Chime, Dark heart rising, Poison diaries... They look great!

  10. I kind of had the same feeling at Borders yesterday. When I got my first real job, my mom would continually reprimand me for spending so much of my paycheck at Borders all the time. It's sad to see the store end, but I did get some outrageous deals, so there's pleasure in the guilt.

I hope you enjoy your books!

  18. Breadcrumbs is SO cute. I mean it was sad and stuff but it was CUTE! I loved it! And there were so many fairy tale references, Hazel was so witty. You should definitely check it out!
