Got some great stuff for review this week, and scored some fun books at bargain prices!! All in all, an awesome book week!
For Review:
Seven Kinds of Ordinary Catastrophes by Amber Kizer
I really enjoyed Meridian by this author, so I'm curious if I'll enjoy her contemporary work as well.
The Dark and Hollow Places by Carrie Ryan
I haven't read this series, so I'll have to seek out the read the first two! I tend to avoid Zombie stories, so I may pass this one on to another reviewer---any volunteers? :)
The Fitzosbornes in Exile by Michelle Cooper
This one looks amazing!! It's a second in a series, so I'll be ordering A Brief History of Montmarary this week!
The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland on a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente
I posted about this one a few weeks ago...the trailer is so perfect and I can't wait to crack this one open!
Shimmer by Alyson Noel
I loved the first book in this MG series, I can't wait to see what is in store for Riley and Bodie!

This one's gotten mixed reviews, but I couldn't resist the pretty cover and a story involving Shakespeare for just a couple bucks. :)

I will have to check out your reviews. I have Jane but haven't read it yet. I liked Ash and I have Huntress. I was supposed to read it this week but I had a hard time getting into the story so I'm going to try it again later. I loved The Dark and Hollow Places but I know that zombie fiction isn't for everyone :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Meridian and I'm looking forward to Wildcat Fireflies (though I hate that name!). I had no idea that Amber Kizer had written contemporary fiction as well.
Congratulations on reaching 800 followers! Have a great week :)

ReplyDelete"Exile" looks so intriguing!! I hadn't seen it before, I need to find out more info!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on reaching 800 followers! I enjoyed The Fool's Girl because parts of it were really good but others needed that extra something. If you've read Twelth Night then I think it would help you to understand the story more I'm interested to see what you think of it. I'm off to check out your review of Ash- enjoy all your new books :)

If you really want to pass on the Dark and Hollow Places ... But I'd recommend reading the first 2. I own both and love them. I was little hesitant about zombies, but Ryan does a great job.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna go read your review of Jane. I also reviewed it on my blog. :-)
What a great week! Brightly Woven & Jane are two of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI’ve only read the first in Carrie Ryan’s series. Even if you aren’t a zombie fan you might light it :)
