Cover Story: A few recent favorites!

Some really outstanding covers have been released recently...I wanted to share a few of my favorites!

Belladonna by Fiona Paul
This is the sequel to Venom! Looks gorgeous as the first!

Love the actual visual we get of the water-logged Manhattan where this debut novel takes place, and how we get to see the main character in the title. Nicely done.

The End Games by T. Michael Martin
Between this deliciously creepy cover and the first line of the synopsis: "It happened on Halloween..."  this book will defintely be one that I pick up next year!

Oh, I like this cover even better than it's predecessor, with all the gorgeous, dramatic reds and golds.  Where the first cover in this series was just a bit muddled, here you get the full impact of the girl, the moon, the landscape, and the owl.  Love it.

This dystopian was a title that the Penguin rep I spoke to was really excited about for 2013.  I love the gold glow coming through the trees as she walks into the unknown.  Good dramatic feel.

I love that it looks like we're peering at her through a wrought iron fence and that the whole thing is so white and bright in contrast to the dark, ghostly story it promises with it's synopsis.

And finally, two that are not YA, but look OH-SO-AWESOME:

Adult:
The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
Gorgeous, gorgeous...and by Neil Gaiman.  Really, does anyone need more of a reason to start pining for this??

Middle Grade:
This book sounds like SO much fun: a wannabe princess, a witchy loner, and the son of King Arthur find themselve at a school where the they are taught their fairy-tale destinies...but things get all switched around!! I will definitely be giving this one a read!
That's all for now!  See anything here that's got you drooling?? :D
